Don't go here 12/4/2011

AVOID THIS PLACE!! My adorable Cavalier King Charles Spaniel's left eye popped out of its socket on a Sunday evening. We rushed him to the care center and he was taken back for observation. My husband waited 3 HOURS while they had our dog in the back for someone to come back and discus treatment. He was one of the few people in the waiting room. If you know anything about an eye popping out of the socket the longer you wait to put it back in the less change of keeping the vision in the eye. The vet said the only thing they could do was amputate the eye to the cost of $1500. When the high price was questioned extreme guilt was applied. Luckily my husband refused the treatment! He was sent home after paying for a $125 office visit, overpriced pain killers and an, overpriced e collar that was too small. No care instructions were given at all except to give the pills. The next morning I rushed my puppy to our vet as soon as they opened. My vet said he could either amputate the eye for $500 or pop the eye back into its socket for $250. He performed surgery that day to put his eye back in its socket and said if the surgery didn't work he would charge me only the difference and not the full $500 if the eye needed to be removed. Now over month later my adorable puppy has both his eyes with vision in the injured eye. It's heartbreaking to think this place wanted to amputate the eye probably because they could make more money off the surgery. This is actually our 2nd visit to this place. Our first visit was for an injury on my Doberman's paw 5 years ago. Same experience, we spent HOURS waiting while they had our dog in the back for someone to discuss treatment, and when treatment was discussed extreme guilt was applied. The first time we ended up letting them care for our dog and paid their extreme price, so I am not able to say if they tried to push unnecessary expensive treatment. After this last horrible experience we will never go back, and have found an alternative 24 care place if an emergency happens in the future. more

excellent facility 2/8/2011

I have been to The CARE Center on multiple occasions with different pets and have always been completely satisfied with the care that my cat and dogs have received. Not only were they treated, but the staff truly cared for me. I recommend CARE to everyone I know! more

Love it! 9/21/2010

I have been working at the Care Center for 9 years now and I love my job. We are here 24 hours a day to take care of your beloved pets and we would not have it any other way. It takes a strong person to work with sick animals and to comfort them in their time of need. I love people I work with and love what I do. With out them their would be no Care Center. more

Great CARE, Great facility 8/5/2010

The CARE Center did a great job with my pet when I had an emergency. The staff and doctors were very caring and they took the time to explain everything to me. It may be more expensive than my family vet but they gave me a estimate and told me exactly what everything would cost. When my pet needed more care than expected, they called and let me know what was going on and the additional costs. It was well worth the price to know that a place that cares this much is out their for my pet when I need them. Thanks CARE Center!! more

VERY EXPENSIVE, AND NOT WILLING TO SHARE IN COST OF MISTAKES 4/27/2010

Good: Frontline people nice, nice facility.. Bad: Rather slow (midnight), very expensive, charged us for a week's worth of prescriptions when only one or two days was needed. Would not share in the mistake.. Improvements: Educate the public by asking if they would only like enough mediction until seeing your normal vet. Offer a discount on a future visit as an offer of good faith. They are "hard-liners". (Dr. Carey). Other: Go to the Emergency Center on Redbank Road.. more

Excellent Staff and Care 6/1/2009

My experience at this facility has been one of excellent communication, sharing involvement with treatment, staff with compassion and professional up to date testing and equipment. I have referred this facility to many people who have all rate the facility and staff as excellent. My own vet takes her animals there for treatment which she can not perform herself. more

Excellent care, great staff! 2/26/2009

I greatly disagree w/ the bitter ex-employee. I've been taking my pets to Cincy Care for about 2 years - and they have been nothing but wonderful. Although I've waited a long time to be seen - its always been worth it. Whoever wrote that heinous review should grow up, and get an attitude adjustment - you were obviously fired for your lack of skills/immaturity. It is great to have such a place close to home, and the specialists in hospital are a great bonus too! more

Worthless doctors and assistants 1/20/2009

I worked there for a while until I was fired for no reason except not fitting in with the college cliques that the employees formed. The people who work there are liars and are not very good at their job. They absolutely cannot train worth anything. They stand around talking about how they were "so drunk last weekend they couldn't even walk straight." And they can't draw blood. Paula S. who is a registered veterinary technician literally stabs the already wounded and sick animals in the neck over and over again looking for the jugular vein. I watched her do it and heard another employee laugh and say, "Jeez Paula, you're just fishing around for that vein, aren't you?" Jamie W. told me she doesn't even want to work there, that she wants to work in a morgue, and everyone there calls the owners stupid and idiots. It's so disrespectful! And Dr. Amy S. is a liar. She said I am not dedicated to my job, and later vehemently denied saying that after I told her superior that she had no right to say that when she never even spent one shift working with me. I have dedicated my entire life to animals since I was a child. I worked very hard at that job and only lost it because I didn't fit in. But honestly, think about it. Do you want to trust your pets with first year college students who traumatize the poor things with their lack of skill in any procedures, while insulting you behind closed doors? Do you trust your pets' lives to liars and admitted "stupid alcoholic college kids"? more

Excellent care 9/4/2005

This is an excellent emergency service. We had brought an abandoned kitten that was dehydrated to this clinic and they saved her life. The vets there are very knowledgeable and explained to me all they had to do and what it would cost before proceeding. I also needed to bring my Pomeranian here recently after he tried to eat an ant trap. They are staffed 24 hrs a day and the prices are decent for emergency care. more
