Wow, I have had very similar experiences to those who have written negatively of the service below me. However, my negative experience was actually with the NP. I do not want to get into all of the personal details of my visit, but I was made to feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable by the staff as well. The NP did not talk to me once before touching me and was about to walk out the door before I had to stop her to actually talk to me. No one spoke with me about my concerns, and the most attention I got was from the nurse that was triaging me who asked me about why I was there out in the public. I did not feel comfortable here at all.\r \r As someone who is starting a profession in the medical field, I urge women to not accept this standard of care. You are not supposed to be treated this way and your concerns should be met at every visit. As a primary care office, this office should also be trying to educate its clientele and every patient should leave the office feeling knowledgeable about their condition and secure that their provider is advocating for them and their well-being. I do not recommend this office, and if you as a current patient receive a low level of care I urge you to be your own advocate and seek better care elsewhere.\r \r Caring for others is a privilege that I did not feel this office valued when caring for me. Please do not let medical personnel devalue you. more

My experience with Dr. Fine was beyond horrible. I went to her for my annual check up and my test came back abnormal. Her office didn't call me into the office to give me my results and talk about options but called me on my cell at work and did even ask if it was me before talking. When I had the 1st procedure she didn't explain what she was doing or why. She didn't speak when she came in the room. She was cold and rude and when I tried to get clarification she dismissed my questions. When these test came back abnormal they told me the results over the phone. I asked could I come in and talk with her about my options and her office said yes for a minimum of $180 - $400. I didn't understand the procedure and had to rely on Youtube to understand what was to happen. On the day of the procedure she came into room and said ""So who are you."" I though really you couldn't look at the chart! When I tried to ask questions she was rude & replied with irritation. After everything was over, the nurse asked did she want to come in and tell how everything went. She sent a reply saying no, she had spoken to me this morning and didn't have time. more

Love, love, love Dr. Fine and Julie both! I started going to them after I saw how Dr. Fine handled my sisters miscarriage years ago with such professionalism and care. She is not warm and fuzzy so if that's what you're looking for then you may want to see Julie for your visits. But when I'm concerned about something or have fears I see Dr. Fine because I need her direct honesty and bluntness. Her confidence and straight answers make me feel secure in her care. I'm not there for coddling or to see my BFF i want a smart, take charge doctor and you couldn't get any better than the combo of Julie and Dr. Fine. Just last week my primary doctor told me they couldn't fit me in for a sick visit even though I'm 7 months pregnant so I called the office and Julie got right on and said no problem, come right in and one of us will see you. Even though it had nothing to do with OB concerns. I can't say enough about them! more

Don't go here -- you will regret it. I did. Dr. Fine is unprofessional, abrupt, and condescending. She yelled at me during a consult and forced me to tears. Her nurse is ignorant and god-awful and basically just mirrors Dr. Fine's behavior because she doesn't know any better. (However, NP Julie Pryor is fantastic - I wish she was a licensed MD). I blame Dr. Fine's stubborn refusal to send me in for an infertility workup for my inability to have children today. Again, don't go see this toxic woman. more

I have been seeing Dr Fine for over 10 6/6/2012

I have been seeing Dr Fine for over 10 years. She is the only OB doctor I've seen since moving to Atlanta. I have nothing but high praise for her. I only request to see her because I am only comfortable with her. I've moved around with her as her office has moved (Thank goodness she is staying put now :) more

Things you should consider 12/16/2010

Well, Mindy Fine is my friend as well as my doctor and I am shocked at what I am reading. First of all I am not bias in anyway, if something is bad I will tell you it's bad, but that is not the case here. You may not know that Dr fine went through a terrible experience herself and has shown incredible strenght throughout it all and she kept on seeing her patients through it all. First, she had to deal with her husband being diagnosed with cancer, hospitalized for 6+ weeks and she kept working. Then her mother passed from breast cancer, not a year later she found out she had breast cancer, and she kept on seeing her patient. She worked through chemo and a duoble masectomy!!! How many drs do you know would do that? She did not take off but 4 days for her surgery and -0- days for her chemo, worked right on through the nausea a pain. I sure that some days she may have been in pain and having a not so great day, with that being said havn't we all? She is a highly recognized physician in her field and well respected by her peers, she knows her stuff. So before you completely decide based on the few negative comments, check her out yourself. She is ""to the point"", but that does not mean she is uncaring, in fact, it means just the opposite. She will tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear. more

Great office, once you get to know her 12/8/2010

I have been seeing dr fine for about two years, at first I was sort of put off by her demeanor. Then I found out I had cancerous cells. She was wonderful! She referrred me to a cancer specialists and called and check on me. thank God it was resolved but I can't say anything but good things about that office. The NP is winderful as well as the staff. No problems here more

Great experience 9/14/2010

To piggyback on the review from tooda: I have been a patient of Dr. Fine's for many years and have had a great experience. Yes, she is blunt and not warm and fuzzy - but you know what, she'll tell you the truth! She won't beat around the bush, she tells it like it is. I love that, especially with my first pregnancy... I needed someone with experience to say ""you're being silly, your baby is fine"" and she had to say that a lot! Honestly, go where you feel comfortable - try out the practice if it's a convenient location for you and they take your insurance. If you don't like them, go somewhere else. But if you like your doctor to be honest and to-the-point, then Dr. Fine is for you. Oh, I almost forgot - at the delivery of my child, Dr. Fine's bedside manner was very supportive and comforting. She was there for me when I delivered and she seemed very proud and sincerely happy for me and my family when we had a healthy, beautiful 9.97lb baby girl! more

WONDERFUL!!!! 9/9/2010

I HAVE BEEN A PATIENT HERE FOR 4 YRS. THEY ARE WONDERFUL!!!! I DONT KNOW HOW THEY ARE GETTING BAD REVIEWS:( THE STAFF IS GREAT!! FROM JOELL AT THE FRONT DESK TO THE OFFICE MANAGER. THE NURSES ANSWERED ALL OF MY QUESTIONS WHEN I CAME IN FOR MY PREGNANCY CONFIRMATION. DR FINE IS GOOD BUT SHE IS STRAIGHT TO THE POINT. SOME MAY NOT LIKE THAT BUT I DONT NEED ANY DR TO BEAT AROUND THE BUSH WHEN IT COMES TO MY HEALTH OR MY BABY'S HEALTH!!!!! THE NP IS GOOD TOO, I ALSO SAW HER DURING MY PREGNANCY. ALTHOUGH THERE WAS AN INSTANCE WHERE DR FINE HAD TO LEAVE TO DO A DELIVERY, WHICH I UNDERSTOOD, I STILL HAD THE OPTION OF SEEING HER NP EVEN THOUGH HER NP HAD HER OWN PATIENTS TO SEE! GREAT PLACE TO GO TO, I WOULDNT GO ANYWHERE ELSE! more

HORRIBLE PLACE 8/30/2009

I went to CCFW for 2 years. Although I liked the NP, who was the only one that saw me, the staff and doctor made me feel VERY unwelcome. After multiple instances of being treated poorly I decided to go to another office. Here are some examples of my disappointing visits. 1.) The first time I felt unwelcome was when I was suffering a miserable period. I went to work that day and began throwing up. I threw up 10 times and was on the floor in the fetal position in pain. I called the office and explained that I was concerned because I had never experienced that type of pain before. I was worried about a possible cyst. They reluctantly scheduled me an appointment the next day where I saw the actual doctor for the first time. She was very unfriendly, acted like i was an inconvience and a waste of time, was not gentle, and made me cry. She barely even checked me. 2.) I found out that I was pregnant!! I called the office to get a confirmation. I went in that day and i only saw the lady that takes your temperature and does the test, who by the way, should be fired. She asked me why i didn't use protection, why I'm so small, and after multiple times of me telling her IM NOT 14 WEEKS pregnant, i'm 5 weeks, she neglected to listen and wrote me down as 14 weeks. I have irregular periods...LADY LISTEN. I later found out through the next experience that I was in fact correct, 5 weeks pregnant. 3.) A few days after my confirmation of pregnant, i began spotting. I was scheduled for an appointment in 4 days but with great concern of possible miscarriage I called the office and asked to come in that day to check to see if that was in fact happening. I was told "" If you are having a miscarriage, there is nothing you can do to stop it, we are filled today, don't worry, we'll see you tuesday."" ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? No compassion! I ended up having to go the ER. where luckily I did find out things were fine, and I was in fact 5 weeks pregnant, but I was put on bed rest for 3 days. CCFW just does not care about their patients. I will NEVER go back to them, and I recommend you stay far far away! more

STAY AWAY 8/20/2009

I have been going to CCFW for about 2 years now. I loved having them so close (about a 2 min. drive or quick walk); however, I will not be going to them from this point on. I suffered a miscarriage (1st and only pregnancy) this past December. I went to them to have it confirmed as well as for my follow up care. They treated me as if I was almost a nuisance. I would come in or call with questions regarding what was happening to me/my body and they would respond with ""oh yeah that's normal"" or ""don't worry about"" and just treat me as though I should know everything and not worry about anything and leave them alone. I'm sorry, all of this was completely new to me and and it was VERY upsetting to me and my husband. I too never once saw or met with the actual MD, always the NP. While the NP was nice, I wanted to see my actual MD. I even saw her in the office while I was there, after my miscarriage, and she didn't even have the decency to pop her head in. My final complaint regarding CCFW was just this past week. I went to Wellstar for an ultrasound set up by CCFW because of some pain I've been having for some time now. Upon arriving at Wellstar I was asked about my paperwork from CCFW. I did not have any paperwork from CCFW and that had to called in and faxed over. Once I was taken back into the doctor's office I was asked if I had come prepared for the appt. (meaning, had I followed CCFW's instructions). I was not given ANY instruction as to how I was to prepare for this appt. I looked and felt like an idiot because I did not come prepared when it was actually CCFW's fault that I was not properly informed. They did not give me any instructions or the proper paperwork. I was not surprised by this but VERY irritated. Needless to say I will not be returning to CCFW for anything, which is sad being that they are so convenient to me. Pros: quick drive or walk Cons: MD never available, seemed annoyed. more

Excellent Care 4/28/2009

I had both of my children with CCFW and had a wonderful experience each time. Both the doctor and the Nurse were very good. Pros: Staff is very friendly more

Office Staff 1/29/2008

Stay away from this one... We never saw the MD here but the NP was great. Unfortunately she left and I can only imagine why. We had been going here and payed $1500 and another $1000 for ultasounds AT TIME OF SERVICE because our old insurance did not have maternity. Our insurance changed at the beginning of the year but we had not received new cards yet (another review I should write on Kaiser-Permante). We had called about our cards numerous times and had our member no, group no, contact info, etc...And this practice was a preffered in network provider (One of the reasons we even went with this insurance!) The Office Manager denied us service because we did not have our actual card! They refused to even look it up using our member no or even call the insurance provider. I don't understand how we could go here for months paying cash and now that we have insurance they won't see us? I guess maybe they don't like HMO rates...or maybe they are just that lazy. We immediately called another practice and they had no problem looking up our insurance from the info we had, and they were actually friendly! Was that so hard?? BTW, they'll charge you $15 for your records as well. Maybe they feel better knowing they brought a 5 month pregnant woman to tears and put under the stress of finding a new doctor half way through her pregnancy! Is that who you want responsible for your care? more
