Now I know the rest of the country has discovered Krispy Kreme, but as it originated here in the South, it has a special place in each small town. This is the latest incarnation of Krispy Kreme, located directly across the street from the original Spartanburg location. The new store has counter seating at the window as well as some booths.
It is very important to remember - look for the Hot Doughnuts sign - then pull in immediately and order a dozen original glazed. Eat one ASAP.
The best thing about this Krispy Kreme is the drive thru! Spartanburg has few coffee shops, let alone drive thrus so this has been so exciting! You can get your large frozen blend latte (just a suggestion) without dragging all the kids (or yourself) out of the car. The drive thru service can be a little slow, but hey what's your hurry? You're just buying donuts and coffee. Ease up!
Prices for the coffee drinks are excellent, almost $1.00 less than comparable Starbucks type coffee shops!
