I adore the Pierpont. I once had the extreme pleasure of a special tour and the chance to see some extremely rare books and I’ve been hooked ever since. They have great exhibits that change fairly frequently and it’s not too big, so perfect for a hour or two of relaxation. Plus, they have a great restaurant in an enclosed garden (fabulous in the winter) that is just perfect for brunch.
P.S. It's closed until spring 2006, but don't let that deter you. The web site lists where the collection can be seen at other museums and spring isn't that far away.
