FINALLY FOUND Autism Dental treatment here in saint louis for my son. Going to the dentist has clearly been a challenge for us, but when we found Dr. Hoffmann and Dr. Thoms, everything changed. I just wish I had found them sooner! We have been going to The Dental Anesthesia Center since Maddox was 4 years old. Now, Maddox is 19 and doesn’t have to have general anesthesia to have his teeth cleaned! I love how the office has worked with our son through out the years and are so compassionate. Dr. Daugherty is very sweet and I think Maddox may have a little crush on all the girls! He just loves going to the dentist to get his teeth cleaned! LOL He is quite the little flirt! J more

General Anesthesia Dentistry (Sleep Dentistry),Sedation Dentistry,Special Needs Dentistry, Implant, Cosmetic, and General Dentistry. Dr. Michael Hoffmann and Dr. Sean Thoms, both dental anesthesiologists, provide dental services accompanied with Deep Sedation and General Anesthesia. Patients have a choice in the way their dentistry is completed. Individuals with anxieties, phobias, severe gag reflex, or have difficulty getting numb are candidates for General Anesthesia services, as are young children or individuals with physical or mental disabilities who are unable to cooperate. Treatment may be completed in as little as one visit. All types of dental care- including fillings, crowns, bridges, root canals, gum therapy, dental implants, extractions and cosmetic dentistry- are available. Dr. Victoria Daugherty, a General Dentist, places an emphasis on dentistry with oral sedation as well as non-sedation services. She has a special interest in sleep apnea treatment, Invisalign, implants, veneers and other cosmetic procedures.

General anesthesia or deep sedation is also referred to as “ Sleep Dentistry.” Using this method, there is no memory of the procedure and will be in a loss of consciousness. General anesthesia is fulfilled through the administration of drugs through an IV, which generates a deep, unconscious sleep state.
