Zubio closed November 2009, but one of its employees, Adam Deskin, took over the space, renamed it BreakPoint, and still provides the same awesome style of chair massage.

Best Alternative Coffee Break 8/6/2007

Best Coffee Break in the World! I have to admit, I was more than skeptical when Zubio set up shop in downtown SF. I've been a Japanese massage practitioner for 12 years and when it comes to chair massage, I've never had an outstanding experience. The first couple times I went for a Zubio massage, I was a little disappointed. I was hoping for a little more customized work for the stiff neck I had that week. 'cest la vie It wasn't until my 3rd visit that I got it. I wasn't going to fix my neck in 10 minutes. That was unrealistic. But when it comes to that afternoon break that I usually go to Starbuck's or Peet's, it's the best refresher on the market. Next time you need that pick me up after the lunch time food coma, try a Zubio energizer. P.S. I started to love them so much I bought 50 Gift Cards for our office last holiday season. Pros: Quick, effective, easy refresher for the mid-day yawns Cons: Not your full body massage, but who can do that in the middle of the day? more
