Review content:
We asked for a quiet corner at 7pm on a Tuesday evening and got a nice table (that ended up being cold and drafty) in the side room. Our waiter didn't greet us for at least 15 min. and then it was ANOTHER 15 min. before we got water. When a different waiter came with water, he hurriedly explained that our original waiter 'was really rushed tonight.' Should we feel guilty that we just wanted some water? It was downhill from there. We got forks handed to us at one point, napkins and drinks at another time and I finally had to ask for my ginger ale. ""It's coming"" said our waiter as if I should have known! When the food came it was very disappointing. Out of our 4 meals, mine was the only good one (turkey and brie sandwich). The soup was called mushroom brie but we couldn't find a mushroom in it! Looked and tasted like warmed over mexican dip. This was the first time in years that we left a less than healthy tip for the waiter. John explained our disappointment to the waiter when he had the grace (or the guts) to ask how our meal had been. If I were you, I'd head on down to Barley's or one of the other fine eating places in Downtown Greenville. Maybe just stick to coffee at the Coffee Underground (and bring your own water!). Pros: great location, nice ambiance Cons: really poor service and forgettable food
