My goodness, I've never seen a bigger library in my entire lifetime. This main branch has two buildings: the regular portion filled with fiction and non-fiction pieces and the re...

Cleveland Public Library...Great! 3/16/2006

The Cleveland Public Library is a great attribute to the city of Cleveland. Anyone with a library card that looks like a puzzle can use their resources, not just Clevelanders. For example, people from Medina and Vermilion can use their resources. The downtown library is huge and overwhelming, but definately worth it because it is free. Another reviewer said the parking is free, but I don't know where that is. I take the rapid to Tower City and walk to the Main Library. They have a really neat Pop Culture Library and great book sales. more

Big City Library 12/16/2005

The Cleveland Public Library has numerous branches, but the main library located on Superior is the old style big downtown library that has lots to offer readers. The adult library section has videos and CDs, which I am not really sure should be offered at libraries since video stores rent this stuff. Should the public buy popular movies to rent? I don't think so. If you like to rent movies at the library, this branch has a wide selection to chose from. The copies are in good shape if they are recent releases. If they are older releases, they can be quite worn and may not work too well--such as cuts and patches on the VHS tapes. The children's section is the high point of this library. They have many, many books for preschool through middle school. It's a great place to take your children to pick out some books to read during the week. Parking is free and the library has their own lot. more

Wonderful library branch 8/21/2005

The downtown Cleveland library has a plethora of DVD, CDs, BOOKS, and more. The children’s section is wonderful. They have internet access where you can go in and access some of the paid genealogy databases there at the library. They also have a very good book sale each year and you can find some real bargains there. more

Downtown Library... 8/21/2005

I really enjoyed the Cleveland Public Library. It has a wide variety of books and the children’s section is also nice. I really love their wide selection of compact disk and dvds. The librarians are very helpful and have even ordered me books from other librarians. The remodeled library was great and I highly recommend it to anyone. more

More than just books 8/17/2005

Cleveland Public Library are what other libraries should be. So many books can be found in the branches and online. Lots of databases you can acess in the library which are online and free to access at the branch. I like the genealogy database. You can check out movies, dvds, music and more. more
